This song was written in 1979 and originally offered to Cher, Diana Ross, Barbara Streisand and Donna Summer before The Weather Girls took it on and made it an international hit. In the UK it spent nine weeks in the charts, peaking at number two, and became hugely popular as a gay anthem.
