I can’t help wondering if this morning’s song title is somehow related to waking up and realising the Bank Holiday weekend is over. Or it could just simply be my random mind.

The song was originally released in 2004, on the Drowned in Sound record label, but only reached number sixty-six in the UK charts due to the band being still unknown in the UK. Their breakthrough came in 2005 after taking part in the NME Award Tour as an opening act, giving them a lot of media attention.

In 2005 the song was re-released, this time on the B-Unique label, ahead of the release of their debut album Employment, and gave the Kaiser Chiefs their first top-ten hit, spending twenty-five weeks on the chart and peaking at number six.
