Having fallen asleep to the sound of the garden being battered by the wind last night, is it really any wonder that I’ve woken up with this in my head?

The Association, no doubt named due to the countless members of the band over the years (even more than Deep Purple) and also because of the intricate harmonies performed by the many vocalists.

The song was written by American folk singer Ruthann Friedman and gave the band their second number one in the US and Canada, their first being Cherish in 1966. This track wasn’t released as a single in the UK but it did reach number thirty-four in the Australian charts and number three in Yugoslavia.
