1984.

If anything is going to chase away the Monday morning blues then it’s this little bit of nonsense from Eurovision history.

This was the 1984 winning entry from Sweden performed by Herreys, a terribly clean cut trio of Mormon brothers. They were famously nicknamed ‘the dancing deodorants’ by Swedish singer Tommy Körberg, a joke that would haunt the brothers for the rest of their career in Sweden.

The song went on to give the brothers top ten hits in Sweden, Norway, Switzerland and the Netherlands and has been a favourite amongst Eurovision fans ever since. Here in the UK it spent four weeks on the chart but only managed to make it to number forty-six.

Oh, and apologies in advance for any eagworms created by this post.
