Could there be a more appropriate song for this morning? I think not, having looked outside. It is indeed a proper misty autumn morning, the sort that people write songs about. Like this one, that’s always been a favourite of mine.

Written by English songwriter and poet Harvey Andrews, this was from his successful 1973 album Friends of Mine and on a personal note, I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard a song that captures that feeling of a stereotypical autumn morning so well, along with the sense of transition that the season brings with it.

I think it’s just perfect.
