June 1986.

Although, technically, tomorrow never comes because when it’s tomorrow, it’s today.

Written by Annie Lennox and David A. Stewart, along with guest keyboardist Pat Seymour, this was the first single from the 1986 album Revenge.

On its release the song proved to be popular in Australia, Norway and Sweden where it reached the top ten. Here in the UK it only reached number thirty after spending eleven weeks on the chart, unlike the album, which became a global success reaching the top ten pretty much everywhere – including number three here.
