1981.

Einstein I am not! Especially as I can never remember who released this, despite it appearing here before on numerous occasions. Thankfully my trusty sidekick knew the answer or, to put it another way, I had to Google it – again.

This was the fourth single released by the British synth pop band Landscape and featured on their 1981 album From the Tea-rooms of Mars.., or to use it’s official title, From the Tea-rooms of Mars…to the Hell-holes of Uranus. The album also included their only other UK chart hit Norman Bates.

On its release the song became the group’s biggest UK hit, spending thirteen weeks on the chart and peaking at number five. Incidentally,  Norman Bates was released later the same year but only reached number forty.
