Okay, it looks like we’re back to good old fashioned randomness this morning and the inner jukebox is done taunting me with song titles, for now. (Still no cat though).

Written by Amy MacDonald, this was the second single released from her debut album This Is The Life. MacDonald explained in an interview that the song is essentially about two people who could be perfect for each other, but, because they spend their lives trying to fit in and be something they’re not, they let the opportunity to meet pass them by.

On its release the song became a top ten hit across Europe, reaching number one on the official chart for Scotland and number three in Switzerland and the Netherlands. It spent sixteen weeks on the UK chart but just missed out on the top ten when it peaked at number twelve.
